Life Is Just Is
When something happens in our lives, our minds often go to work immediately.
They don't value me?
I'm failing.
What did I do wrong?
What does this mean about me?
But what if what happened doesn't have to mean what we think it means?
So much of our suffering doesn't come from what happened but from the meaning we attach to what happened.
Sometimes we find ourselves in a season we never expected and that's what happened.
It doesn't automatically mean you're failing, doesn't mean you're not valued or your story is over.
So perhaps the question isn't always:
"Why is this happening to me? but what meaning am I placing on what happened?"
Life is just is.
And while we don't always get to choose what happens to us, we do get to choose what we make it mean.
What meaning are you giving to something that happened in your life?
